Registered Colorado Mountain Dog puppies available!! Colorado Mountain Dogs are known for their outstanding temperament with families and children, as well as being fantastic livestock guardian dogs. It's a really exciting breeding project to be a part of. CMDs are Livestock Guardian Dogs that are being bred specifically for their temperament. Some traditional LGD breeds can tend to be somewhat aggressive, especially towards strangers. That can cause complications for small acreage farmers, who need livestock protection, but also have lots of neighbors and visitors.A dog breed based on temperament, and not just physical appearance, is so amazing! It means that these dogs are actively being bred to be loving, loyal, good with families, gentle, accepting of visitors, and still outstanding guardians of your livestock. We're taking traits that already exist in individual LGD dogs of different breeds, and condensing and intensifying them into one trustworthy breed. It's pretty cool! With the proper training, exercise, and engagement they will even make amazing, loyal, couch potato pets.Our puppies are $850 (for non breeders) and they will be registered with a national registry (ARBA). They are backed by breeder guarantee and support, as well as a Facebook support group. We have white, badger, and sable. Long coated and short coated. They will be ready to go at 10 weeks, on the first of September. I will evaluate personality and temperament until ten weeks, to make sure we make the best matches for people and pup, and some will be destined for pet homes, some for pet/working homes, and some for strictly working environments.
